Concrete Batching Plant

Introduction

The concrete batching plant is a construction machinery that combines various ingredients to make RMC (ready mix concrete). These ingredients are aggregates, water, cement and additives. This factory can also be known as a Concrete Batching Plant. Production of concrete is as per a set mix material recipe. This is controlled in the plant and then delivered to work sites.

Basic Automation System

  • The plant is fully automated and the system is controlled on a 17 inch coloured touch-screen with integrated mouse and keyboard connection point.
  • The system is equipped with imported electrical installation devices and sensors. Remote stations with distributed I/O stations are also part of the plant automation.
  • Advance PLC program and error control algorithm enables high sensitivity in weighing and dosage control even at maximum capacity.
  • The MCC command panel is built for all working conditions and equipped with electrical protection system.
  • The operator is able to set different ratios of material and can perform calibration operations on the touch screen.
  • All process, production and failure information are also visible and may be printed by the operator.
  • The operator may choose between automatic or manual operation on the illuminated mimic diagram.
  • Digital indicators enable the operator to follow voltage and current values on the screen.

Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA):

SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) is a type of industrial control system (ICS). Industrial control systems are computer controlled systems that monitor and control industrial processes that exist in the physical world

  • SCADA system comprises a PC, printer, UPS and SCADA software which enables the operator to perform all commands and control functions like take report, detect failures etc on the PC screen with animation support.
  • The operator is also able to enter as many recipes as desired, can enter all customer and truck information into the system where production information is stored for one year.
  • Remote servicing and maintenance is possible via Internet.
  • SCADA system monitors overall performance of the plant and eliminate the need of manual data collection.
